As of December 19, given the uncertain nature of the ongoing negotiations to extend federal government funding through March 14, there is a growing likelihood that there may be a government shutdown when the current Continuing Resolution expires tomorrow at midnight.
The Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge is working with the Office of Government Affairs to understand what this means for the research enterprise. If this is a short-term shutdown (a week or less), minimal disruption of day-to-day operations are expected. The impact could become more significant in the event of a longer shutdown.
A page on ERIK web site will be updated as the situation evolves, including any information and guidance on potential impacts to research operations during a government shutdown.
