Eva Donelson Wilson’s (1905-2007) early research on human milk and its composition was the beginning of her journey into the field of women and children’s health. As a professor and administrator within Ohio State’s School of Home Economics, Wilson also mentored graduate students in the field of nutrition.
In 1965, Wilson started the home economics program at the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil through an U.S State Department grant. Additionally, Wilson authored a textbook regarding nutrition in Portuguese, and published numerous texts in the United States. In 1988, Wilson received the Ohio State Distinguished Service Award.
