Dhabaleswar K. (DK) Panda is a professor for Ohio State’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Known worldwide, one of his most significant contributions is the design of a scalable and high-performance communication library (MVAPICH2) for the popular Message Passing Interface (MPI) programming model for modern supercomputers using InfiniBand networking technology. The majority of world’s supercomputers are currently powered by this software, which helps run a range of high-performance computing applications and help tens of thousands of users worldwide advance research and develop products in their respective fields.
Panda is a fellow of IEEE and a member of the Association for Computing Machinery. He received Ohio State’s University Distinguished Scholar award in 2015
