This session will explore the ethical and practical aspects of reproducibility in scientific research. With renewed national focus, such as a recent executive order and proposals from HHS and NIH emphasizing replication studies, questions about whether science faces a “replication crisis” have become more pressing. What defines a reproducibility problem, and what ethical responsibilities do researchers, funders, and institutions have in addressing it?
