Are you preparing an NSF proposal for a 2026 deadline? Two recent PAPPG supplements have introduced significant changes for publications and data sharing. All new awards are now expected to provide immediate, zero-embargo access to articles and data upon publication.

In this webinar, we will provide an overview of key changes stemming from this policy update:

  • Zero-Embargo Sharing: When and what to consider to ensure peer-reviewed manuscripts and data are available immediately upon publication
  • Research.gov tool for Data Management Plans: Live demonstration of a new DMP template and submission tool that replaces the 2-page narrative PDF
  • Shift to Repository-Based Sharing: Why informal data sharing (e.g., "available upon request") is no longer sufficient and how to select a public repository
This informational session will provide an introduction to the new policies, common challenges encountered when sharing articles and data, and an overview of tools and resources provided by The Ohio State to help you.

This workshop is ideal for researchers who currently receive NSF funding or may apply in the future, as well as staff who support NSF-funded researchers.
