The Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) recently released a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) outlining the U.S. Air Force Defense Research Sciences Program to solicit proposals for basic research. ERIK’s Research Development team will hold a series of virtual briefings for researchers to learn about the programs under the AFOSR BAA and win themes and garner tips and tricks for submission. There will also be time for questions.

AFOSR manages the basic research portfolio for the US Air Force and Space Force, ensuring long-term technological advantage through fundamental science. Their mission is to discover, shape, and champion transformational science through research efforts. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis, with priority dates for certain topics. Subject to appropriations, the program encompasses $200 million, with individual awards ranging from $100,000 to $300,000 per year for 3-5 years
