Event Reporting in Human Subjects Research

Even with the best intentions, research doesn’t always go as planned, and when something does go wrong investigators may be required to report to the Institutional Review Board (IRB). The Office of Responsible Research Practices is offering an educational session on when to notify the IRB about unexpected events, noncompliance concerns or other problems. While the session will be tailored to medical researchers and research staff, anyone preparing IRB submissions is encouraged to attend.
