New Annual Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program Certification for PIs/co-PIs

Effective June 7, 2025, the National Science Foundation (NSF) requires all Principal Investigators (PIs) and co-PIs on NSF awards after May 20, 2024, to annually certify in Research.gov their non-affiliation with Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs (MFTRP). Certification is required once per year, only from PIs and co-PIs. Individuals involved in MFTRP are ineligible for senior/key personnel roles on NSF proposals. NSF plans to extend this requirement to all senior/key personnel in the future.
