CTSI October Inventor Showcase: Billing Intelligently Through Software

Medical billing is a complex set of algorithms for which providers get limited to no training during their medical school and residency years. Incorrect billing is lost revenue at best and fraud at worst. The Mobile Medical Billing App is a professional billing utility on android and iOS platforms for training and assistance with proper healthcare billing. The app uses a series of algorithms based on documentation and medical decision making to generate a suggested billing level. A novel risk system can alert physicians of related diagnoses and criteria that carry higher risk to reflect complexity of care more accurately. We have coded in outpatient, inpatient, consultation, and critical care billing scenarios.
