Samir Mathur, Physics

Samir Mathur, professor at Ohio State’s Department of Physics, pioneered the “Mathur Conjecture”, resolving the paradox of black holes and the matter trapped inside of them. Mathur concluded that information within black holes is not trapped or lost, but rather residing within a “fuzzball,” which traps neither energy nor information. From Mathur’s Conjecture, the effects of quantum gravity and black holes can better be understood through psychics.

Mathur has been awarded the Distinguished Scholar Award (2014) and the University Distinguished Teaching Award (2003).
