Concerns Regarding International Activities

Review recent announcements by DOD regarding undue foreign influence at U.S. institutions:

  • The National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2019 stated that DOD shall “establish an initiative to work with academic institutions...to support protection of intellectual property and controlled information...and to limit undue influence, including through foreign talent programs, by countries to exploit United States technology."

Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Program

The defense industrial base is facing increasingly frequent and complex cyber attacks – and to increase security, the Department of War (DOW) has developed the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Program. CMMC assesses defense contractor compliance with existing information safeguarding requirements for federal contract information (FCI) and controlled unclassified information (CUI). Lear
