Navigating the New 2026 NIH Data Management & Sharing (DMS) Plan Format

Are you preparing an NIH proposal for a 2026 deadline? The Data Management and Sharing (DMS) Policy hasn't changed, but the way you document it has. While the format is simpler, investigators still have critical responsibilities in customizing their DMS plans.

In this webinar, we will dive into the practicalities of the new form, focusing on two areas where NIH requires researcher-driven detail:

• Repository Selection: How to identify and justify a repository for sharing your data.
• Addressing Limitations: How to clearly outline the legal, ethical, or technical factors that may limit the extent of your data sharing.
