Mark your calendar for the 42nd Annual Research Day on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The Distinguished Lecturer will be Tim Wright, DDS, MS, a professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health at The Adams School of Dentistry at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. In addition, he is the Editor in Chief of the Journal of the American Dental Association (JADA).
What to Expect
Research Day is more than a showcase—it’s a celebration of innovation and collaboration. Participants share their research, receive valuable feedback from senior researchers, and prepare for national competitions such as the college’s IADR/AADOCR Student Competition for Advancing Dental Research and the Hinman Student Dental Research Symposium.
Distinguished Speakers
Research Day kicks off with thought-provoking oral health presentations, and 2026 promises to be no exception. This year’s Distinguished Lecturer is Tim Wright, DDS, MS, professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health at the University of North Carolina’s Adams School of Dentistry—and editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Dental Association (JADA). Our Faculty Lecturer will be Brian Foster, PhD, chair of the college’s Division of Biosciences.
