Ohio State has been accepted into the U.S. Space Command’s Academic Engagement Enterprise (AEE). The AEE is designed to strengthen relationships between the agency and academic institutions across four key lines of effort: applied research and innovation, workforce development, academic partnership and exchange, and information pipeline.
Membership connects Ohio State to a national network of universities collaborating on topics of strategic importance to U.S. space operations and defense, including dynamic space operations, cybersecurity and cyber capacity, AI/ML operations, AI ethics and use management, human spaceflight support, radiation mitigation, and space adaptation sickness, among others. It also provides access to drive space priorities, influence funding opportunities, and engage with high-level decision makers for the U.S. Space Command on issues of national security, defense needs, and civil and industrial space operations. This is a strategic opportunity to deepen our institution’s engagement with national security-related space activities, grow our space research and educational footprint, and provide our faculty and students with access to unique resources and partnerships.
There are opportunities for engagement across multiple colleges including: Arts and Sciences; Medicine; Engineering; Pharmacy; Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, Public Affairs and others.
