Nisonger Center awarded $4.4M to establish national rehabilitation research and training center

A new five-year, $4.4M grant from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research will allow Ohio State University’s Nisonger Center to establish a national rehabilitation research and training center on health and function for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The award will allow for the development of a body of research to improve the long-term health-related function and quality of life for adults with intellectual disability and related neurodevelopmental disorders. Susan Havercamp, associate professor of psychiatry and director of Health Promotion and Healthcare Parity at the Nisonger Center, is the principal investigator for the study.
