Kerry-Ann Mitchell, MD, PhD will discuss how in recent years, there have been multiple exciting developments in the creation of smart cranial implants for patients undergoing skull surgery. These implants contain embedded neurotechnology designed to treat accompanying neurological disorders such as seizures or provide wireless monitoring of intracranial pressure. This presentation aims to provide an overview of the currently available technologies as well as review ongoing research in the field of neuroplastic surgery.
This presentation will be offered in-person for up to 40 registrants in Biomedical Research Tower, Rm 105, with optional viewing via Zoom. Please indicate your preference for attendance when registering. Coffee and bagels will be available for in-person viewers.
