Trajectory of salivary miRNA expressions in children with concussion

Ginger Yang, PhD will discuss the objective of this pilot study was to assess the feasibility of collecting and storing saliva from concussed children and extracting microRNAs (miRNAs) from concussed children and extracting miRNA for analysis of gene expression of salivary miRNAs; determine the difference in salivary miRNA gene expression acutely post-injury between concussed children with and without Persistent Post Concussion Symptoms (PPCS).
