McDaniel awarded $2.8M for study of chronic venous leg ulcers

Jodi McDaniel, associate professor in the College of Nursing, has received a five-year, $2.8M R01 grant from the National Institutes of Health/National Institute on Aging to test a new oral nutrient therapy to treat chronic venous leg ulcers. CVLUs impact an estimated 9.7M people annually, and can lead to disability, hospitalization and death, mainly in older adults.
