Genentech Portfolio Rotation Program: Applications are open

Genentech, a world-class biomedical research organization, is launching a Portfolio Rotation Program (PRP). The PRP is the only rotation program in pharmaceuticals for program and portfolio management and is aimed at discovering and fostering the next generation of drug development professionals. The PRP is seeking those eager to learn how business and science can be combined in the drug development process to ultimately deliver innovative medicines to patients.

Senior graduate students (MS or PhD in STEM-related fields), as well as postdocs and other advanced degree applicants (MBA, MD, PharmD) are eligible to apply. Genentech encourage all students, especially those from historically underrepresented groups to apply.

Throughout the two-year program, PRP participants will take on tailored assignments, earning hands-on exposure to meaningful projects, including evaluating business strategies and options, developing program management expertise and supporting world-class science. PRP participants will be embedded with teams across the drug development life cycle: early preclinical development, Phase 1 to 3 clinical trials and preparation for commercial launch.

Rotations occur in the following departments:

  • Genentech Research and Early Development (gRED)
    • Program Management (gRED PM)
    • Portfolio Strategy and Planning (gRED PSP)
  • Product Development (PD)
    • Global Program Management (PD GPM)
    • Pipeline and Portfolio Planning (PD PPP)

Join us for a Webinar on Tuesday December 1 at 9:00am PST and more about the PRP and answer any questions about the program. Attendance is optional and applications will be considered regardless of webinar attendance. Click here to register.
