The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs announces the second President’s Postdoctoral Scholars Program competition. This program, sponsored by the Office of the President, seeks to recognize outstanding young researchers at the university and aid in the recruitment of highly qualified postdoctoral fellows who will become leaders in their fields.
The program provides funding to support further scholarly training of PhDs and terminal degree holders who wish to pursue careers in research and creative expression. Postdoctoral research funding, professional development and faculty mentoring will be offered.
Awards provide salary support, benefits and $5,000 for research-related and travel expenses. Each award is for a minimum of 12 months and may be renewed for an additional term based upon demonstration of academic/research productivity and career development progression (as evidenced by successful implementation of a mentoring plan).
Note: Nominees who are currently working at Ohio State must have no more than one year of employment at the university.
Letters of Intent are due by Thursday, November 1, 2018. Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018.
Eligibility criteria, submission instructions and other program details can be found on the PPSP website.
