Effective August 1, 2008 Caroline Whitacre, Vice Dean for Research in the College of Medicine, Associate Vice President for Health Sciences Research, and Director of the School of Biomedical Science, will serve as Interim Vice President for Research until a permanent successor for Bob McGrath is appointed. She is a professor and former chair of the Department of Molecular Virology, Immunology, and Medical Genetics and an international authority on autoimmune diseases. Please be sure to update any forms, memos, and exception letters to reflect this change as of August 1.
