Chen and Rikihisa named National Academy of Inventors Fellows

The National Academy of Inventors (NAI) has awarded the rank of Fellow to two Ohio State researchers: Ching-Shih Chen and Yasuko Rikihisa. Chen, the Lucius A. Wing Chair of Cancer Research Therapy and professor of medicinal chemistry and internal medicine, developed new classes of cancer therapeutic agents, including two new anti-cancer drugs in clinical trials.Rikihisa, Distinguished University Professor of veterinary biosciences, developed a parasite screening test that is now included in the annual health screening panel for all dogs, and has since become the standard parasite test for animals globally. NAI Fellows are nominated by their peers for outstanding contributions to innovation.
